I figured the discounted rate was for only 15 cards. I couldnt find anything i could print on that was the size of an index card. If you’re working with a lot of cards, it might be time to invest in a new printer! White 3' x 5' blank index cards feature ultra-fine perforations for clean and easy separation Optimized for laser printers, jam & smudge-free performance are guaranteed. I’ve not had to do that, but it sounds like a reasonable solution, if you’re not working with too many cards. As Lockhaca suggested, you could print labels and then adhere them to the cards if your printer can’t handle the thicker card stock. You’ll find this option on the Mailings tab in the Create group. Nystan50 and LocoLobo mentioned using label settings. Spdragoo was the first to mention the simple size options for handling index cards. Click the Paper tab and enter the card’s dimensions. If your stock doesn’t match one of the pre-defined sizes, choose More Paper Sizes from the Size dropdown. That’s it! You didn’t expect it to be quite so easy, did you? To change the orientation, choose Landscape from the Orientation dropdown in the Page Setup group. Set the appropriate Paper Size dimensions.īy default, Word will print the cards in portrait. In Word 2003, choose Page Setup from the File menu, and click the Paper tab.

When you print the page it will print in the designated 3x5 space. This way you can copy and paste the information on each section of the page. You will need to configure your page in word and divide the page into sections. Read the solution to last week's Office challenge: how do you format and print index cards in Word. The only way to get around this issue is to buy the 3x5 cards in a letter size package. when it printed like this i had an index card in the printer feeding tray and a little bit of the image was printed onto the index card, obviously not well since the setting wasn't set up for it.but it did print perfectly aligned to the index card.Solution: How would you print index cards in Word? I've gotten the printer but print out a 3x5 index card size, but with the printer thinking to print such a size in the middle of what it thought to be an 8x10 sheet of paper. It is possible to get the printer to print this but feel like i'm at the very last step before i can make that happen. It seems that the solution will lie within th settings or something ON the computer. It's greyed out, as shown in he photo links. I'm allowed to save the custom size, but never at any point select it right before printing. Except now when trying to print a custom size. Allows me to printer fine without any problems, ever.

in fact, the laser dell 1110 printer has an adjustable mark to secure any paper size up to 8x10, but nothing smaller than 3 inches in width. i've printed envelopes using Pages 09 templates easily, and the envelopes are only 3 inches wide. You're right when mentioning the printer does hold tht size.
